NEW: Our Remodeled Therapy Offices, New Logo, and Organization Values

Back when the pandemic first hit in early 2020, some of you may remember that the myTherapyNYC therapy offices were under construction. We had just initiated a remodel and expansion of our 8th floor suite when our world suddenly changed. Since that time, our staff of therapists have been working with clients almost exclusively remotely and online.

While we were certainly disappointed to not share our new space with you when the remodel was completed in summer of 2020, we knew the safety of our staff and clients was our first priority. And that continues to be the case. While we hope to be able to welcome clients into our new space soon, at the moment, we continue to see our clients remotely. That said, we still wanted to celebrate this new chapter by sharing a virtual glimpse into our office remodel. We look forward to a time (hopefully very soon) when we can welcome clients into this beautiful new space that we are so excited to share.

New Logo

New beginning seems to be a theme for us here at myTherapyNYC. In addition to our new office space, we are also ready to share our new logo and our new practice values. The logo features a downward pointing triangle. We chose this shape for a couple of reasons. One reason is because it reminds us of the Triangle of Experience. This diagram is an integral part of one of our favorite modalities of therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). The downward pointing triangle also echoes the pink triangle, an enduring symbol of LGBTQ+ pride and resilience. As a practice, we are constantly striving to be inclusive, and our extensive work with the LGBTQ+ population is where we started with this.

Updated Organization Values

This presents a good segue to our other new reveal: our practice values. As a staff, we collaborated to create a list of words that best embody what we value as a practice. After a few rounds of voting, we landed on the following as our values:

Authenticity, Community, Compassion, Inclusivity, Learning, and Transformation.

To learn more about what these values mean to us, and how we strive to embody them, visit our practice values page.

To say it has been a challenging couple of years is an understatement. All of us have collectively endured the pandemic, while each individual has also dealt with their own share of challenges that emerged during this time. We are inspired to see the resilience and will to thrive that has prevailed alongside these many challenges in so many members of our community. As we prepare to welcome our community back into our space, now more than ever we feel so grateful to be connected with all of you.
