This 60-minute virtual yoga class focuses on strengthening the connection between mind and body through somatic awareness, gentle movement, and breathwork. We’ll practice tuning into the body’s signals to better understand how stress, emotions, and mental patterns show up physically. Connection here means building trust in your ability to notice sensations, emotional shifts, and intuitive cues, and responding with care in the moment. The focus is not on flexibility or physical strength, but on awareness, curiosity, and compassion as practical tools for grounding, self-regulation, and mental health support in everyday life.
*This monthly group is offered as a pay-what-you-can model: you’re welcome to contribute whatever feels right for you. This is completely optional and not a requirement for joining this group. We believe that healing and connection should be accessible to everyone, which is why we make every effort to create affordable spaces for our community.

Do you find anxiety makes it hard to stay present in your daily life? Does depression leave you feeling disconnected from your body or energy? If you’re navigating these or other intense emotional states, yoga can offer a way to reconnect and ground yourself. Our yoga classes focus on gentle movement, breath, and awareness to help calm the nervous system and build a clearer sense of mind-body connection. By practicing yoga as a support for anxiety and depression, participants can develop tools for feeling more present, steady, and responsive in everyday life.
Cultivate mindfulness through gentle yoga, noticing physical sensations, breath, and mental and emotional states in each moment.
Meditation is the practice of intentionally training your attention in order to achieve a state of calm stillness and relaxation. Mindfulness is a one method of meditation. When you practice mindfulness, you focus on the present and allow yourself to experience thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without judgment. For example, you might feel the wind on your face and notice it simply for what it is. You might think a self-critical thought, notice it, and let it pass.
This class is for anyone looking to reconnect with their body and support mental health. It’s beginner-friendly and ideal for those who want tools to cope with anxiety or depression. We’ll cover the fundamentals of yoga, including finding a comfortable posture, noticing and releasing tension, and moving with awareness. You’ll also practice breathing techniques, explore somatic sensations, and learn accessible sequences to help calm the nervous system and build a stronger mind–body connection.
If your mind wanders during a session, that is completely normal. You may get distracted over and over again, spin off into thoughts/fantasies/day-dreams, notice itches or aches, or be “distracted” by sounds – and that’s all okay! There is no right or wrong way to meditate and my aim is to help you to discover what works for you.
