Katherine McLaughlin

Psychotherapist in Training

Katherine (She/Her/Hers) believes that the alliance between client and therapist is the basis and starting point for lasting and meaningful change. She strives to engage with clients with empathy and compassion to empower them to claim ownership of their personal story and embrace the truest version of themselves. While pain and suffering are part of the human experience, no one should have to navigate it on their own.

About Katherine

Originally a California native, Katherine has made NYC her home for the past 15 years. Her background in the theatre has fostered a deep curiosity in the human experience and the ways in which our past traumas, losses, and attachments affect our body, mind, and spirit. She believes that there is wisdom that resides in our body and seeks to encourage clients to engage with their body’s responses in the here and now as a means of moving forward from the past. Katherine believes that therapy is a collaborative affair wherein the client and therapist work in tandem to foster personal growth and change.

Katherine self-identifies as a cisgender, heterosexual, white woman.
