Marilyn Ramirez, LMHC

Senior Psychotherapist

Marilyn (she/her/hers) believes the relationship between a client and therapist is sacred. She feels that therapy can increase self-awareness, promote self-discovery, and foster healthier relationships with self and others.  She thinks therapy is a reciprocal process and has learned a great deal of life lessons from her clients. Marilyn has had the privilege of working with clients from different cultural, ethnic, sexual, economic, spiritual, racial, and gender identities. She has supported clients who are part of the LGBTQ + community and has processed the difficulties that come with intersectionality, e.g. experiencing racism and homophobia. She is able to hold space for her clients and to authentically validate the lived experiences of those who face discrimination of any kind. Marilyn has found that providing psychotherapy is remarkably rewarding and humbling. She does not take it for granted when clients share their most intimate life experiences and vulnerabilities with her.
