Joe Zagame (he/him/his) is a psychotherapist and the founder and Clinical Director of myTherapyNYC. In his work with clients, he believes that mental and emotional suffering is best healed in the context of a safe and caring therapeutic relationship. Drawing on an emotion-focused and relational psychotherapy style, Joseph sees the client-therapist relationship as the foundation for healing and growth.
Joe is a certified Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) couples therapist and is Level III trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Joe is also a Certified Group Psychotherapist and facilitates two process-style gay men’s therapy groups. Whether working with an individual, a couple, or a therapy group, Joe focuses on the here-and-now and aims to help clients experience the healing power of connection in real-time.
