She encourages introspection by posing uncovering questions and supports the client in deepening self-awareness. She promotes mindfulness practice to tune into somatic responses and recognize underlying unconscious emotions. Apeksha aspires to help her clients cultivate authentic relationships and lead meaningful lives that align with their values.

About Apeksha

Apeksha is currently pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. Prior to this position, Apeksha worked in a corporate role that required building relationships with diverse team members and effective leadership. Apeksha learned to recognize the strengths of individuals, empathize with their experiences and motivate them to perform their best, all of which she hopes to bring into the therapy room.

As a mother, Apeksha understands the stress of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. As a first-generation Asian Indian, she has experienced the balancing act of assimilating into another culture while maintaining her ethnic identity. As someone who has relocated multiple times, she acknowledges and encourages the importance of support and community.

Thriving on structure, Apeksha collaborates with her clients to set and work towards achieving their goals for psychotherapy. She values assessments as a tool to help clients gain deeper self-awareness and track progress. Apeksha promotes psychoeducation to empower her clients to understand their psychological issues, manage their symptoms, and develop the necessary skills to achieve autonomy.

Apeksha self-identifies as a cisgender, heterosexual, Asian Indian woman. She is also a first-generation immigrant.
