Senior Psychotherapist
Nathan (he/him/his) is a psychotherapist who utilizes person-centered and existential practices to conduct effective therapy. He believes that therapy is a collaborative and relational process. When dealing with changes in life or difficulties that attempt to define us, we often try to solve these problems in isolation. Having someone to talk to—in a non-judgmental and empathetic setting—allows us to sort through our thoughts and emotions in an environment primed for growth.
Through his work, Nathan acknowledges his clients’ expertise in their own life journey and their drive to be their most authentic self. He believes that exploring and understanding our culture and identity is vital in defining our goals for life. As we make meaning out of our experiences and relationships, creating pathways for choice, responsibility, and authenticity allow us to grow and develop. He feels that through reflection and encouragement, we can begin to define who it is we want to be. Nathan focuses on creating a strong client-therapist relationship that allows for open exploration and collaboration to help individuals meet known and unknown goals. His previous experience working in education and technology the last 10 years motivates him to remain curious and continually develop as a caring therapist. Nathan engages both humanistic and behavioral therapy approaches to create a unique and personalized approach to treatment with his clients.
Nathan self-identifies as a cisgender, heterosexual, White male.
