This group will be a long-term interpersonal process group. The goal is to provide space for female-identifying adults (18+) from all races and sexual orientations to bring their struggles to the group and process their feelings with one another.
Women face various issues and difficulties daily. Some examples include workplace inequality, relationships, dating, racism, sexism, power dynamics, parenting, and more. Unfortunately, women often feel alone while dealing with these issues and struggle with finding their voices to advocate for themselves.
The intention of this group is to create a trusting and safe environment, where clients feel empowered and gain the confidence to tackle whatever they may face in their lives.

An interpersonal process group provides a safe space for members to discuss and explore difficult emotions or feelings that arise. It emphasizes the importance of the relationship between the members and the facilitator.
If you identify as a female, deal with any issues around your female identity and want to feel heard, seen and validated, then you are the right fit for this group.
A process group heavily depends on the presence of the members and their relationship with one another. Therefore, weekly and consistent attendance is a requirement for this group. Due to the interpersonal nature of the group and importance of the relationship between the group members, this group will be a long-term group with a six month commitment.
Groups are insurance reimbursable, much like individual therapy. We are an “in network” provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna insurances. Group therapy qualifies for reimbursement for those with other insurance plans that offer out of network mental health benefits. Also, we offer a sliding scale for those who who do not have insurance or have out of network benefits.
We encourage group members to participate in individual therapy in tandem with the group. Individual therapy can help you explore and unpack what triggers you during group sessions. If you already have a therapist, the group facilitator will ask to collaborate with your individual therapist to best support you and your needs. And, some members choose to work individually with the same therapist who runs the group. By observing how you interact with others and how you act one-on-one, your therapist can continue to help you resolve any interpersonal issues you are struggling with.
Contact us for a free 15-minute phone consultation. Before you join the group, we would have an individual initial session to assess if the group is right for you.
