Are you sick of winter yet? Getting through the cold weather and the shorter days can be challenging. It’s not unusual for our mental health to be affected by the changing seasons or weather. We sometimes describe the lethargy and downturn in our moods during this time of the year as “the winter blues.” But if your feelings are interfering with your day-to-day life and this is something you experience every year, then it could be a sign of seasonal affective disorder or “SAD.” Whether you experience a noticeable but manageable bout of the winter blues or the more disruptive symptoms of seasonal affective disorder, the great news is that there are plenty of techniques and strategies to help you improve your mood and overall well-being.
