Victoria O'Leary

Psychotherapist in Training

Victoria (she/her) is a MA of Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern with a passion for the human experience.  She believes that with the right balance of empathetic support and collaboration, we can explore new perspectives to create the acceptance, change, and empowerment necessary to achieve satisfaction and wellbeing.

About Victoria

Prior to joining myTherapyNYC, Victoria earned a BS in Finance and worked in the equity research department of a New York based hedge fund for over 20 years.  Victoria combines that life experience with genuine enthusiasm for the validation, compassion, and connection that create a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship and the foundation for lasting, healthful change.

Victoria uses a person-centered, holistic approach to psychotherapy to support new insights and behaviors by exploring maladaptive thoughts and beliefs. She believes that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and validated.  Her motto is “tell me who you are, and I’ll believe you”.  Victoria is particularly interested in attachment theory and trauma therapy, and she plans to pursue a certification in EMDR therapy.

Cisgender, heterosexual, white, married woman and is also a parent.
