Senior Psychotherapist / Clinical Supervisor
Veronica (she/her/hers) believes that a client-therapist relationship based on trust, safety, and genuine acceptance is the most important part of the counseling process. She helps her clients find the tools within themselves to cope with the hardships of life so that they may not only function, but truly flourish. She does not view therapy as a “one-size-fits-all” process, so she tailors her techniques to fit each person’s individual needs and strengths. She cherishes the meaningful bonds she builds with her clients, and she believes that these close bonds are the key to true healing.
Veronica has experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, but she specializes in supporting young/emerging adults who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, first-generation college students, and survivors of trauma. Her own cultural values and experiences allow her to understand and recognize the impact of intergenerational trauma on BIPOC communities, so she is passionate about helping her clients break free from these cycles of suffering.
She utilizes a blend of Person-Centered therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Mindfulness-based treatment interventions in her practice. Her approach is based on the idea that the meaning we give to our experiences influences how we see ourselves and the world. We can use our voice to become experts in our own lives, and begin living in a way that highlights our values, strengths, and resilience.
Veronica self-identifies as a cisgender, bisexual, Latinx, spiritual woman.
