Sam Fogarty, LMHC

Senior Psychotherapist & Clinical Coordinator

Sam (he/they) centers his work on radical acceptance; he creates an affirming and engaging therapeutic experience for every unique individual. By exploring emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and energy—both past and present—he works together with his clients to build an authentic life of meaning and purpose. He works with clients on how social norms have squeezed them to conform to narrow ideals, or how they have outgrown their previous selves.

About Sam

Sam believes that every human holds the innate capacity to heal, especially queer individuals whose lives are rooted in resilience. Through therapy, he highlights the potential of empowerment and strength in overcoming trauma and everyday challenges alike. He brings his research experience in body image and eating disorders among queer populations to frame his clinical work. His style can be described as active, warm, encouraging, and fun. While he incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral, narrative, psychodynamic, and client-centered modalities, meeting with him will feel like a conversation with a warm, supportive friend. By working together, Sam hopes the client will find therapy to be a healing space towards living a full, intentional, and purposeful life.

Sam self-identifies as a White, gay, genderqueer man.
