Mia (she/they) is drawn to therapy’s unique ability to create a relational space where support is unconditional and any topic can be explored without shame. Believing that therapy is a partnership, Mia aims to offer a warm, collaborative environment that welcomes expansiveness and fosters growth.
Mia knows that stigma is a powerful silencer, so they strive to create a therapeutic atmosphere that is nonjudgmental and compassionate, making space for clients to explore any and all challenges. Using an insight-oriented approach, Mia works with clients on gaining a deeper understanding of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Mia also draws from Feminist Therapy to help clients contextualize their struggles within the systems of power surrounding us. To navigate new and ongoing life stressors, Mia helps clients build individualized toolboxes aligned with their strengths, values, and support systems. Mia’s professional background in communications informs their appreciation for the nuance of how clients express themselves.
