Psychotherapist
Julie (she/her/hers) believes that every person has a unique story to tell. Through creating a therapeutic environment that is welcoming, supportive, and safe, she hopes to help clients discover their own individual paths to achieving their goals in both therapy and life overall.
Prior to becoming a counselor, Julie worked in the theater industry as a stage manager, which is a role that requires structure, attentiveness, problem-solving and a lot of compassion for others. She strives to bring these skills into her work with clients. Having gone through a career transition herself, she knows first-hand how difficult life changes can be. Julie wants to cultivate a platform for in-depth exploration of inner and outer emotions through important moments in her clients’ lives. She firmly believes in the power of reconnecting with oneself while discovering new strengths along the way!
Julie understands the importance of acknowledging and celebrating each client’s multiple identities, including cultural, socioeconomic, gender, and sexual, as each influences the way one perceives the world and others. She uses an integrative approach in order to adapt to every individual need, pulling principles from Relational, Experiential, Trauma-Informed, and Cognitive Behavioral treatment modalities. Julie feels that no problem is too small to bring into the therapy room and is grateful to have the honor of helping you through your process of healing!
Julie self-identifies as a cisgender, queer, White woman.
