About Adonis

Before joining myTherapyNYC, Adonis dedicated herself to various research projects focusing on intersectionality, resilience, immigration trauma, and sexuality. She operates on the belief that our identities profoundly influence our interactions with ourselves and society. As a native New Yorker, a second-generation immigrant, and a lesbian, she possesses a deep understanding of the complex and often contradictory emotions that can arise when navigating multiple identities.

Drawing from her lived experiences and research background, Adonis thoughtfully blends techniques from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), relational, psychodynamic, and Jungian psychology. This approach fosters a safe, warm, productive, and truly client-centered experience. Understanding that mental health is wonderfully multifaceted, Adonis is passionate about supporting clients as they heal, navigate, and cope with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, intimacy and sex, women’s issues, relationship challenges, kink/fetish, polyamory, first- and second-generation immigrant trauma, and life transitions.

Adonis self identifies as a cisgender, lesbian, white woman.
