Omar Torres, LCSW


Omar Torres is a psychotherapist with five years of working experience providing individual, couples and group counseling. He has worked extensively in the LGBT community, HIV population and those struggling with substance abuse.

Omar’s approach focuses on integrating the various aspects of personal identity and improving insights to help clients lead a more authentic and fulfilled life. His approach to therapy is both client centered and collaborative which allows him to draw from various approaches and techniques including: CBT, Motivation Interviewing, and Gestalt therapy with emphasis on Psychodynamic and interpersonal approaches. The variety of techniques provides the client with a highly personalized therapeutic experience.

Using the therapeutic relationship as a model and vehicle for progress, his therapy seeks to increase awareness of behavioral patterns that may be engrained or dynamics from prior relationships that may be inhibit personal growth.
